Doctor of Optometry Jackie L. Greene Gunter is a 1978 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Tennessee with a BA in microbiology. From there, she attended the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, graduating with honors in 1983.
A native of Harriman, Tennessee, and the daughter of optometrists, Dr. Greene Gunter has been in private practice in Harriman since 1983. In 1999, Dr. Greene Gunter joined The Eye Centers, and she continues to practice optometry at the Harriman location.
Dr. Greene Gunter practices primary eye care, including routine examinations; glasses and contact lens fitting; refractive surgery/laser vision correction consultations; surgical pre- and post-operative care; and the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and injuries, including infections, diabetic eye monitoring, and glaucoma care.
Dr. Greene Gunter is a member of the East Tennessee Optometric Association, the Tennessee Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association and the Optometric Extension Program.
Dr. Greene Gunter is married to Dr. Thomas L. Gunter; the couple has two sons.
