A cataract blurs your vision.

Lens Removal

What is a Cataract?

A cataract is a clouding of the natural lens of the eye.

When should I have
cataract surgery?

Deciding to have cataract surgery usually comes when you are no longer satisfied with the quality of your vision.

Glare around headlights and streetlights is a common cataract symptom.

The cloudier the cataract, the the blurrier vision.

There are other, medical indications for cataract surgery, including cataract-induced glaucoma.

Surgery may also be indicated if a cataract prevents your doctor from seeing the retina or treating other conditions, such as diabetic retinopathy, which involves damage to the small blood vessels of the retina.
